TO DO
Piazza Maggiore
The Basilica of San Petronio overlooks this square, which encloses the largest sundial in the world. Palazzo d'Accursio, seat of the Municipality where the Municipal Art Collections are housed. Palazzo Re Enzo and Palazzo del Podestà, where there is a wireless phone that awaits you.
Palazzo Dell'Archiginnasio
The original seat of the oldest University of the West, founded in 1088 a.c.. The Anatomical Theater, the ancient classroom where anatomy lessons were held, is worth a visit and today is home to a prestigious library.
Le Due Torri
The Two Tower are: "Torre Garisenda", the leaning one, and "Torre degli Asinelli". They are the highest of the twenty remaining in the "Città Turrita" which in the Middle Ages had more than one hundred. If you don't believe it, go up the 498 steps that take you to the top of the Asinelli and look at the city from above: you will discover, even today, that it is much more "towered" than you think.
Piazza Santo Stefano e Corte Isolani
Close to the two towers, let surprise yourself by the beautiful Piazza Santo Stefano. The gaze opens to the bottom of the square where the Church stands. You will discover that the Church is not one, but four and anciently they were seven.
Basilica di San Domenico
Beyond the Archiginnasio, a hundred meters away, there is the Basilica of San Domenico, a veritable treasure trove of treasures from the history of Italian art; among these, the marble ark that holds the remains of the Saint, embellished by the sculptures of Nicolò Pisano, Niccolò dell'Arca and the young Michelangelo.
I Portici
The prevailing face of the identity of Bologna, variety of foreshortenings, between openness and distress, between shelter and pitfall, between isolation and promiscuity, between lights and shadows, offer opportunities for pause and encounter that seem to be linked to the traditional hospitality of the Bolognese. This is a city "of the arcades", attested by the fact that only in the historical center they wind for a good 38km.
